Universal Combined Machines
RS WOOD manufactures and markets universal combined machines for woodworking dedicated to hobbyists and artisans.
WHO USES THE COMBINED MACHINES?
The Universal Combined machine is a woodworking machine for solid wood or, more generally for wood and its derivatives (MDF and chipboard).
This unique machine includes all the classic processing tools and it is for this reason that it is often chosen by hobbyists or small craftsmen who work on a smaller level but want a complete product to carry out various woodworking procedures.
COMPOSITION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF COMBINED MACHINE.
The universal combined woodworking machine mainly comprises of five functional groups (saw, moulder, surface planer, thickness planer, mortiser) operated by 3 independent motors that generate movement.
The planer group consists of a rotating cutter head with mounted cutting knives. At the end of the rotating head is a spindle router that can be used as a mortiser.
The combined machine is easy to use. It is designed to be used in small spaces and to simplify the actions involved in mounting and changing tools.
However, for carrying out the main functions of wood processing, this machine does have operational limitations and therefore is recommended for small craftsmen and hobbyists without large work loads.
THE WORKING OF COMBINED MACHINE
- SURFACE PLANING: enables you to obtain perfectly flat and straight surfaces.
- THICKNESS PLANING: follows surface planning and enables the creation of straight and parallel sides, creating thicknesses of the desired size.
- CUTTING: the circular saw can carry out fast and precise cuts, parallel, perpendicular or inclined from 0° to 45°.
- MILLING AND TRIMMING: the spindle moulder (or vertical router) enables you to create shaped profiles, tenons, poles and grooves.
- DRILLING AND MAKING SLOTS: the spindle enables you to create cylindrical holes and slots.

Automatic Wide Belt Sanders
RS WOOD - CMC deals with production and sale of calibrator and automatic wide belt sander woodworking machinery.
The automatic wide belt sander is used to process panels in order to fine-tune their dimensions and/or sand them to smooth off their surfaces in preparation for finishing.
OPERATION OF WIDE BELT SANDERS FOR WOODEN
The calibration phase allows for any reduction in the thickness of the panel by removing a layer and ensuring it is perfectly straight; while the sander renders the surface completely smooth.
Both phases take place as the panel passes under the abrasive belts that are of varying degrees of abrasiveness depending on how much material needs to be removed and the type of wood being worked.
FEATURES OF AUTOMATIC WIDE BELT SANDERS
The calibrating machines featured in our catalogue can be configured according to need - which differs according to the product to be processed: solid wood, veneered panels, painted panels etc...
Here are the main areas to be configured to ensure correct processing of your product:
Working width
The first thing to consider when processing panels, tables, doors and similar items is the width of the working area; our machines start at 650mm and go up to 1350mm, and are generally 950mm, 1100mm and 1350mm. Do not confuse this with the width of the machine which is obviously greater than the working width indicated.
It is worth remembering that for the most common processes a 1100mm machine is sufficient.
Number and type of rollers/groups
We talk about ‘rollers’ if the calibrating machine is simply working with abrasive rollers while when the roller is accompanied by another component such as a ‘buffer’ or ‘plane’ this is termed 'group'.
This configuration depends on your processing needs and whatever these may be our machines are suitable to support different groups.
Hardness
Depending on the type of work to be undertaken it will be important to have the correct level of hardness for the rollers and the group in general.
MADE IN ITALY
Our machines are built entirely in Italy with Italian materials and therefore guarantee a perfect manufacture and widely available parts and service. All machines comply with CE regulations and the required parameters on the issue of noise and dust.

Spindle Moulder Machines
RS WOOD - CMC deals with production and sale of spindle moulder machine.
Spindle moulder machine are commonly used to trim and shape wood to make it ideal for various uses such as in shutters, windows, frames, doors, etc.
These tools also allow tenoning for window assemblage, that is, a milling process used to join side jambs to head jambs in window frames and frames in general.
These are ‘secondary processing’ tools, which work on solid wood and are not used on timber that is to be cut to measure, but on wood that is to be finished, milled and subsequently worked.
WHO USES OUR MACHINES?
Spindle moulder machine are power tools that are commonly used on an artisanal or industrial scale (and also for naval use). For that reason our range of products covers the various needs of artisans and hobbyists right up to the industrial needs of the woodworking sector.
OUR MACHINES
The spindle moulder is a versatile tool enabling two principle processes, trimming and tenoning. Below we explain the two processes and the tools available.
SPINDLE MOULDER FOR TRIMMING
This machine allows you to create a border in the wood making it ideal for numerous uses, such as in different types of shutters, and in frames and doors. In general, all wood milling machines are suited to trimming solid wood, whilst only certain models allow tenoning.
There are various models of RS WOOD tools available, all of which are capable of trimming, whereas only the TC and TT models are also capable of tenoning.
SPINDLE MOULDER FOR TENONING
The spindle moulder for tenoning is a specific configuration of the basic tool; this is used in the tenoning process simply to create the joint between two jambs. For this procedure, however, a slightly different configuration of the tool is required and therefore not all of our models are suited to tenoning.

Industrial Wood Lathes Machine
RS WOOD is engaged in production and sale of Wood Lathes Machine.
Wood lathes machine produced by RS WOOD - CMC are used to sculpt bas-reliefs and create both straight and turned shapes such as, for example, table legs.
WHAT WORKS ARE AVAILABLE WITH WOOD TURNING?
The lathe is a machine tool frequently used by craftsmen and wood industry for the machining of a workpiece set to rotate; machining is performed by shaving away the wood, called turning.
Indeed, our machines are used precisely for turning wooden feet for sofas, armchairs, chairs, sideboards and beds, and for turning table legs, staircase spindles and handrails, stair newels, knobs, handles, and much more!
THE TYPES OF TURNING MACHINES
The company mainly produces two types of lathe: simple and duplicating. The first type produces turnings on the obverse, while the second copies default templates that are set directly onto the machine: the lathe follows the 'patterns' made by the user, that is it copies these shapes and reproduces them in wood.
LATHES SINGLE OR STANDARD
Suitable for hand-free machining where the lathe rotates the workpiece and the operator makes the piece with the use of classic turning tools: gouges, scrapers, chisels and cutters.
These simple wood lathes machine have different work surface configurations ensuring a machine is suitable for any machining requirement.

DUPLICATING LATHES
The duplicating lathe exploits a mechanical or hydraulic probe to touch and follow the shape of a template (a template) positioned on the rear of the lathe which acts as a guide for turning the raw piece of wood. The probe, by following the shapes of the template guides the block being cut to reproduce an exact copy of the template.
The duplicating lathe is available in different versions with:
- manual duplicator
- motorised feed and mechanical probe (view catalogue)
- motorised feed and hydraulic probe: top of the range for producing perfect duplicates of items with deep detailing (view catalogue)
In the Duplicating lathes section you will find the whole range of machines, from LT1000C the smallest to the largest, the KONTOUR1500C with manual duplication as standard and motorised optional; also available are the KONTOUR 1200 and 1500 both with motorised feed.
It should be pointed out that this machine is very suitable both for industrial use and carpentry: in fact you can really only achieve accurate machining and finishing by using professional lathes.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
To select the right wood lathes machine for your needs several factors need to be taken into consideration: the quality and function, its power, operating speed, weight, stability and robustness and not least, how quiet it is.
All our woodworking machines are made with Italian materials in compliance with the CE European standards and parameters on noise and dust emissions.
They are built to facilitate the work of craftsmen and hobbyists as well as the woodworking industry and for this reason guarantee excellent performance both in terms of stability and ease of use, and they provide all the necessary help for executing precision turning.
